It is a treatment indicated in case of large and/or tortuous veins. The procedure, which is performed in the operating room under spinal anesthesia, consists in the separation and removal of the varicose veins and the saphenous vein due to failure of one of the main valves.

 

Nowadays there are a number of minimally invasive medical techniques that allow the correction of the affected valve and occlusion of varicose veins without having to remove them, in such a way reducing the postoperative and recovery period.
