Reconstruction With Tissue Flaps

Reconstruction with tissue flaps consists in using tissue from other parts of the body (so-called "flaps”). This second technique is more complicated than the previous one and leaves more scars, given that it involves grafting of skin, fat, muscle and vascular tissue from other parts of the body (back, buttocks, hips or abdomen). It has a longer recovery period, greater discomfort and requires a second intervention in order to make the other breast equal to the reconstructed one.
